Lake Hillier, Australia

A 2,000-foot long, bubblegum pink-colored lake, Lake Hillier can unfortunately not be accessed because of preservation purposes, but it is incredibly impressive nonetheless, and you can still enjoy its bright colours from the air.

The lake is quite a big mystery for people too, even for scientists… Even though they think that its colour comes from the microalgae Dunaliella slaina, the only thing living in the lake.
