During the first years of their marriage,
Lauren and David tried to conceive. Like all new married couples, they had
their own ideas of what would make the perfect family. “I wanted two
children with a three-year age difference. Preferably a boy and a girl,”
Lauren said in an interview.
Unfortunately, the Perkins’ plans didn’t go as
they expected. But hings never go as we would like them to. Recognizing this,
Lauren said this: “God must have laughed at me, and must have said to
himself, “You have no idea what I’m planning for you”.
At the very beginning, David and Lauren were confident about their ability to have children. Over the years, however, they realized that this project was not as simple as it seemed.
