The rumours that the Niagara Falls existed started 18,000 years ago, ice sheets of ice carved into swathes that turned into a landscape. This very landscape would come to be known as North America. As the great ice melted, a cascade of water flowed into the Niagara River. This very torrent eroded the cliffs nearby, creating the beautiful natural wonder that the world cannot get enough of.
