A woman named Joyce was on the other end of the line, and she said she was thinking about putting her house on the market, but she wasn’t entirely convinced it was a good idea. Joyce’s voice sounded hesitant, perhaps even reluctant, but her words left no doubt: she wanted to try and sell her house. It was obvious to real estate agents that Joyce hadn’t done much research and simply called the first agency she found. The two women inquired as to why she was a bit hesitant, but Joyce merely insisted that the pair come out and appraise the house for themselves.
The sisters had no idea they were walking into the shock of a lifetime.
