Houses aren’t built out of the same materials in the US. In most countries, houses are built out of cement or reinforced cement. The fact that the US, who is subject to natural disasters like hurricanes, earthquakes and snowstorms, builds their houses out of wood and thin drywall baffles non-Americans. You would think that if they have natural disasters that can destroy houses on a regular basis, they’d build them out of something stronger.
