Nwankwo Kanu was born on August 1 1976 in Owerri, Nigeria. He played forward for Iwuanyanwu Nationale, Ajax, Inter Milan, Arsenal, West Brom, Portsmouth. Nwankwo had a light touch on the ball despite his tremendous height, he was capable of some superbe goals. Nwankwo Kanu won a UEFA Champions League medal,a UEFA Cup medal, three FA Cup Winners medals, two African Player of the Year awards and Olympic gold in soccer at the Atlanta Games in 1996. With all these awards, it is safe to say that Nwankwo Kanu was a great football player!
