All Saints House is painted in two shades of grey, which can be unusual for a church that is traditionally painted white. However Anastasiia has admitted she likes the idea of painting the whole exterior red with white rims. In order to stay true to the church’s original character, the couple have a strict plan that they follow. “We plan things out well in advance and therefore we don’t get caught up in momentary whimsy” Gunther said. One feature the couple are adamant not to change is the stained glass windows. The biggest and most challenging room to renovate was the kitchen. For the whole part of the kitchen makeover, Anastasiia was in her third trimester of pregnancy, meaning she couldn’t do any of the heavy lifting and other such labour tasks. But likely, Anastasiia’s father came to the rescue. But her pregnancy didn’t stop her completely : “I was on duty to prime and paint the cabinets and finish the floor — don’t worry, even though it was very low VOC I was wearing a mask the entire time!” she said.
