When they met, Wendy was a 17-year-old graduate from high school interested in public healthcare and planning on pursuing a career in that field. Dan, on the other hand, was an 18-year-old sophomore, at the time studying Exercise Science. But Dan was also a very sociable student, and he loved to make new friends, which is how they got to know each other. At the time, Facebook was a relatively unused application, except by some students who were looking to meet new people, so Dan decided to give it a try, and that is how him and Wendy met.
