The good news is that this type of scorpion lives mainly in North Africa and in the Middle East, so if you are European or American, your chances of coming across it are pretty low.The bad news however for those living in these areas is that the deathstalker is responsible for more than 75% of scorpion deaths. Healthy adults are unlikely to die if bitten by these creatures, but the same cannot be said for younger people. Children could suffer from fever, convulsions, coma and paralysis, and their lungs will fill with their own fluids, causing them to drown.
