Born in Liverpool, Jimmy Tarbuck is an English comedian and game show host who became particularly famous for working on Sunday Night at the London Palladium and Live From Her Majesty’s from the 1960s to the early 1990s. In primary school, he was a schoolmate of John Lennon, and got his first television job It’s Tarbuck ’65! in 1964 when he was only 24. Since then, he hosted plenty of other quiz shows, and even appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2006. He is a keen golf player, and has also released several albums and EPs, including several ones with Kenny Lynch.
