Karen Grassle started her Hollywood career on the sets of Little House on the Prairie. This was her first acting job ever and she managed to do it with such finesse and talent. No one could tell that she was new to acting because she was a natural. Caroline Ingalls is a tough character to play, she was a strong mother and the center of the show. Her character was so important, and without this strong figure, the show would have fallen apart. Karen acted in over 180 episodes in the show and her time on the set came to end when her character, Caroline, had a tragic death.
