This series would not have been possible, or successful, if it wasn’t for Micheal Landon. He was approached by the writers of the show to direct the pilot episode of Little House in the early 1970s and upon reading the script Micheal was compelled by Charles Ingalls and knew that he had to play him. He was perfect for the role and became a director that everyone respected on the set. He strived to make the set a good place for all his crew and cast members and thanks to his relaxed views, his actors were able to flourish. Little House on the Prairie was the second longest series that Micheal was a part of.
