Allison Stokke’s remarkable career as a pole vaulter began in high school. In her first year in the sport, Allison beat the American record in high school pole vault with a jump of 3.86metres in 2004. This also happened to be the new record for a 15 year old American. This was just the tip of the iceberg, at the end of her first year, Allison took home the title of champion of CIF in the state of California. This competition was the first of many. But with each success, Allison would come closer to the controversy that would define her life.
