After her success at age 15, Allison didn’t stop there, in her second year of pole vaulting, she set a new personal record of 4.11 metres, making it her second record in high school. Simultaneously, it was the highest recorded jump for a 16 year old American. Sadly, Allison’s luck was running out. By the end of 2005, Allison had already become the most successful pole vaulter in high school in history. But like the saying goes, all good things come to an end. For Allison, this meant an injury. During the tryouts for the State Championship, Allison was trying out a longer pole than she was used to.
