If the original Corvette concept was made in 1969, it never became this final model until 1976. With its low drag shape and gull-wing doors, the later model looked like it could help the Corvette to reach a new level. Unfortunately for the designers, the model never got enough traction and the company ended up coming back to a more classic front-engine layout. According to fans, it isn’t for the best since the new Corvette C3 generation that was created around that time has been criticised a lot and is arguably one of their least successful concepts.
