Howletts Wild Animal Park was created when John Aspinall started the Aspinall Foundation. Promoting wildlife conservation, it created two zoos in the UK – Port Lympne Wild Animal Park and Howletts Wild Animal Park.
Both places are raising rare and endangered animals, such as gorillas and tigers. They work with orphan gorillas and reintroduce gorillas into the wild at Plateau Bateke National Park in Gabon. When Damian became president of the association after his father died, he had plenty of wonderful ideas for animals, which all started at a very young age.
