Even if it might be tempting to stock up on canned soup and pasta, it is very important for us, particularly during a pandemic, to get all the nutrients that strengthen our immune systems, and those come from fresh produce.
And it is possible to buy perishable food that lasts a long time – for instance oranges, cheese, garlic, onions, apples, bread, potatoes, eggs, or bananas. So make sure you have some of those in your cupboards as well!
