One of 48 glaciers in the Southern Patagonia Ice Field, Perito Moreno is famous thanks to its rapid changes, moving forward and backward often, and the frequency of dramatic chunks of ice tumbling from its walls into the water.
This is the third largest freshwater reserve in the world, and is jointly shared between Argentina and Chile.
