Elephants are some of the biggest and most magnificent creatures on the planet, and some of the smartest species as well. If we do not usually get close and personal with them in their natural habitat, people can nowadays get closer to them in zoos or in amusement parks. In fact, they are sometimes even captured in order to be bred in a specified manner, so that they get attributes and manners that resemble what humans would like to see.
But elephants that grew up in the wild are independent and prefer to be left alone than to be in contact with humans. Usually, they don’t trust humans and can be very wary and suspicious of them. But of course, there are always some exceptions.
