Everyone talks about the “American dream” but there are some bizarre concepts in the United-States that Americans believe are normal but in fact for the rest of the world they are actually bizarre.
Why is it that the tax system varies between states in the United-States? For example, in the state of Alabama, the sales tax is 10% whereas in Delaware there is no sales tax. Also, why is it when you purchase an item in a store, the tax is not on the price tag? Are you supposed to guess the tax of each state? This one baffles non-Americans as it is the norm to have tax included in the price tag.
